The Cinque Terre is in the Italian Region of Liguria, just west of the city of La Spezia. It is comprised of The Cinque Terre, "The Five Lands" or five villages: Monterosso a Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.
The Cinque Terre is noted for its beauty. For centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the rugged cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm its pristine enclave and unspoiled archetecture.
At the villages you can enjoy wine tastings of the famous dessert wine “Sciacchetrà”... a typical DOC wine, from the Cinque Terre area. This famous wine is cultivated on terraced cliff-vineyards overlooking the sea. It takes 15/20 kg of hand picked and highly selected grapes to produce one bottle of this precious amber-coloured wine .
Pisa, is a charming city in Tuscany, known throughout the world for its famous Leaning Tower,( Torre Pendente). Pisa is also a university city and just as famous in academic circles for prestigious Univesities such as, La Scuola Normale Superiore which was founded by Napoleone in 1810. La Scuola Sant'Anna is also a world leader in robotics and attracts some of the best minds in the sector to Pisa.
The Historic Center of Pisa, is completely encircled by the city walls. Near Piazza dei Miracoli (Field of Miracles), we find the circular Battistero (Baptistery) - the largest of its kind in Italy, and Camposanto - (cemetary). This area of Pisa is known as the Campo dei Miracoli.
